I’ve reached that unfortunate point where I don’t want tow rite any more. I want the stories to leap fully formed and edited to perfection onto the public stage so I can bask in the sense of completion.
Alas, I do have to actually complete the damn things first. Oh, the humanity. I have been trying to be creative all day and my muse is like:

I give up. I’ll go do something brutal and testosterone charged, like put up shelves.
Anonymous asked: Hey QB (Queen B ;-) ). I was wondering, if you were one of the Sherlock characters, who would you be? Love SVW xxx
Oh, good question. I’d like to be Sherlock, if only for the drama, flair and apparent levels of confidence. In reality, I’m probably a lot more like Molly. Quiet, marginally observant, compassionate with perhaps occasional moments of surprising backbone?
Though actually, when it comes to pretty much any kind of work I’m much more like Lestrade:

I’ve had a couple of people ask if I’ll be making Sherlock sims. The answer’s no XD
I don’t make sims out of characters that I love because I want to do legacies, and that involves leaving ageing on or suffering epic overcrowding issues, and I don’t like watching my favourite characters age and die. I get traumatised enough in real life without getting (more than fractionally) emotionally attached to my sims.
(It’s still patching anyway, at this rate I’ll be old and dead before it’s ready to play.)

Had a craving to play Sims, then remembered I uninstalled it.

Thus begins hours of installation and entering serial numbers, patching and the lark.

Okay, like, what the fuck. There’s a thousand of you. Prolly more by the time I actually announce the winner/s (we’ll see. Depends how popular this gets).
Okay. So, like or reblog this as much as you want but it will altogether count as one so try not be complete dicks about it. Have to be…
Well, colour me curious.

Anonymous asked: Whenever you post previews I just get all giddy and excited. It like seeing previews of your favorite show and you just can't wait but you're gonna wait because you know it's going to be awesome. Your fics are always worth the wait and I'm never disappointed. :)

I am so glad you like the previews! I was debating only the other day whether they were more annoying than enticing. I shall keep up with them if they’re so appreciated…
Speaking of which, I should probably put one up of MBS 14 soon :D
Anonymous asked: I'm sure you've already gotten a lot of support re: asshole anon, but I just wanted to say that I love your stuff and totally don't mind waiting. You aren't getting paid. I happily wait YEARS for a new novel from a fave author. Abuse is not cool.
I have indeed. Everyone has been wonderful - and brilliantly patient. I don’t think I ever really show my appreciation enough for that patience, and for people not forgetting about the fic and wandering off in the interim.
That’s always my fear - that people will just forget about the story if i don’t keep some kind of semi-regular update schedule.
Hopefully, though, that’s not the case, and I’m delighted that most people are happy to wait :)

Notebooks. it’s ridiculous, really. I don’t even write on paper that often. But I see notebooks and I want them. I see new pens. I want them. Stationary, files, folders… I want it all.
And it needs to stop, because it’s just cluttering up my house with stationary. No more notebooks until I’ve used all the ones I already have.

Anonymous asked: You're a simply fantastic writer, don't forget that or let any entitled imbeciles make you feel any different. Your writing is truly art, it's absolutely wonderful that you can spin words into a fabric so rich and full of life. It's really such a talent, you just do what you can do and know that all of your best fans want you to be happy!

Thank you so much, nonny! I think I can honestly say I do my best when it comes to my fanfiction, and it’s brilliant to know that the end result of that is something people enjoy so very much.<3

Anonymous asked: In response to your comment on that drawing, you do create things like that, but with words instead of paint.
Thank you, hun. I’ve always been amazed by other people’s abilities to draw - to give an image life beneath their hand. I’m very locked into the visual aesthetic, and while I do appreciate a good piece of literature, really beautiful painting will aways tke my breath away. Hence my breathless enthusiasm whenever someone fanarts for me!

Anonymous asked: What do you think of horror movies?

I am a scaredy cat. Psychological thrillers like Silence of the Lambs and American Psycho don’t bother me at all, because, well, that’s just what some people are like and it’s not that frightening. However, stick even a hint of the paranormal in there and I’m like “Nope, I can’t cope with that.”
Not even mild stuff. Like The Others. I Am Legend. Bloody god-damn The Sixth Sense. I can watch it, but it’s terrifying and I have nightmares for weeks.
So generally speaking I tend to avoid horror films for my own sanity. And also anything that’s likely to make me cry (this is most things, these days) so my film watching has gone way, way down lately XD
